Opened in 1968 as Sears Point International Raceway, Sonoma Raceway is a technical road course carved into the rolling hills of Sonoma wine country with dramatic 160-foot elevation changes, blind crests, and challenging downhill braking zones. It hosted its first AMA National motorcycle race in 1969 and remains a cornerstone of West Coast motorcycle racing, hosting AFM club races, MotoAmerica rounds, and numerous track day organizations. The motorcycle-specific layout bypasses the fast Esses via a chicane for added safety.
